So I decided to go to the Duke-UConn football game yesterday (not exactly the feature college football game of the day) with a couple of my buddies to do a bit of investigative journalism. The game was close and Duke was actually winning going into the second half. Then the second half started and we got absolutely drilled to the tune of a 45-14 loss. It’s tough being a Duke football fan sometimes (or all the time), but this game was especially frustrating. Duke fans had a legitimate reason to be pumped for this season. We had all eleven starters returning on offense and a lot of talented players from Ted Roof’s first recruiting class were veterans of the program and finally had a chance to be key contributors on the field. But we lost, and lost bad, to UConn. The rest of the season isn’t looking so good. Whatever we do, we need to make a lot of changes in a hurry.
Atleast we can all be pumped about basketball season. I happened to catch a few Duke basketball players checking out the game (Gerald Henderson, Lance Thomas, Demarcus Nelson):

I don't know how many more live reports we'll have. Hopefully our guys will bounce back from this loss and have a good season (we have to win atleast 1 game, right?).

Scrapper, I admire your loyalty to Duke football. But you should just give up, they aren't just bad, they're terrible. 2 winless seasons in a row.
If I were a fair-weather fan I would have been gone a long, long, time ago. I'm going to be a Duke football fan for life. I just hope it doesn't have to be this painful every year. Could you imagine if we get back to a level where we are competing for bowl games? I don't think that's impossible at all, we're just going through a really rough time right now.
Fire Ted Roof.
I've been a big Ted Roof supporter but the UConn game was the last straw. The team quit on him in the second half. He's not our man. Why don't we hire App. State's coach?
Roof is not the guy for the job.
It not football. It's just some silly girly american sport. they're the sort of people who boast about a world series if the only competing teams all based on the same block.
Ted Roof was a good Assistant Coach. He sucks as a Head Coach and should be fired!!!
